Cedric Chêne is the 5th generation to make wine on his family’s estate in the village of Berzé la Ville. Since taking charge in 1973, he has focused on improving the farming practices of the domaine, with constant plowing of the vines and decreased yields during harvest. He maintains a hands-off approach in the cellar, using only indigenous yeasts for fermentation and stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness. Cedric makes wine in a way that harkens back to the classics, using very traditional methods. The results are stunning wines that are laser-pure expressions of high-altitude Chardonnay.

Produced from 100% Chardonnay from 35+-year-old vines grown at 280m above sea level. The wine exhibits white peach, citrus zest, smoke, and stone aromas. This wine is an explosion of fruits and flowers on the nose, and the finish offers a juicy mineral-driven grip.
